New from old...

Have you had pieces of furniture that you just didnt like anymore, and thought it was time for them to find a new home? Well thats how  this cupboard started  out. The top part a display cabinet, just under eye level height. It was stained a dark brown and had queen ann legs. Loved it when I was into dark wood furniture, but laterly i have had enough of it and cleaned it up to sell. Then it hit me I need a new cupboard for my craft goods. The bottom part is my computer storage cupboard. A bit of paint and sometime down the track some new handles and the end result speaks for itself. I love it and to think it was on its way out the door. The other pictures are of a plant stand i found at the local recycle shop. I havent done anything to it except add my gorgeous old birdcage ontop of it. I have some more umbrellas complete and will share them with you tomorrow. I am linking  up with Cindy, from My romantic home tonight. Till then, have a wonderful evening or day were ever you may be.

New umbrella and spring flowers

This is my latest umbrella i made and it is sold. In the coming weeks i will be making several more and some other designs which i will share. I wish i could make this my full time job, im juggling this contract work for another company{which pays weekly} and kids etc etc... Ahhh the joys of life.

I love these colour combo"s at the moment. I have been making alot of white cushions curtains etc but i still find myself drawn to the good old girlie pink.

These are some pictures of my garden in flower at the moment. I love this time of the year the birth of my garden, watching each new bud burst into life, It make me feel alive. My garden is only 5 years old i cant wait for it to be really mature.

This is were my kids sand pit used to be. I planted the wisteria in the middle of it to provide some shade down the track but found them hardly using it so away it went, so my idea is to turn it into a wisteria tree.

Till next time, Take care and have a lovely weekend.

I"m off to an eco expo...

He;;o all. Its been a few weeks since my last post. These are some older photos of a past project.
Place mats with cutlery holder.

I was asked recently if i would be interested in holding a stall in an eco expo to display my creations. Mainly my umbrellas, but i will make a few other things to fill in the space. I am so excited my first show. I have so many ideas screaming at me I just dont no were to start. Its the 7th of november which really isnt to much time to get things prepared. My sons school is the venue. They had there first last year and it attracted just over 80 stalls this year it will be advertised on tv and will bring in alot more.

I love making everything by hand. I would really love to create things down the track that doesnt involve much sewing as i have been sewing now for over 22 years in industrial work and my hands are starting to really feel it.

Anyways, as i create i will show you all, until next time,
Take care Tina.

My new bling..

I wonted to try my hand at making rosettes, so i gave it a go and made several of them. There not only easy to make but look good to. So i made this necklace out of some and im going to  make acouple more projects with the rest, those i will share soon.

I added this beaded drop to complete the look.

I think i made the bead chain alittle long, Im going to take some beads off to short'n it and then i think it will sit up higher and look nicer. The possibilitys are endless with these rosettes.
We are going to start our extention to our place very soon, I cant wait its been along time coming. We live in a double shed that has an extra extention on the front now were going to add to the sides to complete it and finally make it into a cottage home. The process im sure will be long but worth it in the end then i can share with you the results of my new home.

Cheers tina

P.S Ive made the pictures alittle to big if you click on them you will get to see the whole thing.

A little romance...

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful week. I found these tea light holders at a bargain shop or $2 shop. I couldnt believe my eyes, I fell in love with the rose pattern instantly, and to make them look even better they had been reduced down to $1.95 each, They made a swift leap from shelf into my basket and now there my new love..

I just love them. We are receiving some much needed rain today, I just put a new lining into my redesigned pond yesterday so it was perfect timing. Have a nice evening.
Love tina...

New garden umbrella

Hello ladies, I hope you have all had an amazing week. Last weekend i went to mt tambourine for some garden therapy. I have wanted a double pink almond blossom tree for alittle while now and i found a bare root one that day im excited, I just hope its cool enough here for it to grow well.. My sister in-law and myself was talking to a lovely nursery lady up there and she was sharing her journey to monets gardens with us. Sounds amazing, every gardeners dream....One day... Anyway I have made another garden umbrella aweek ago that i need to put on my ebay store but thought i would share it with you first. Upon making it i realized its smaller then the others I have made, Still very sweet though..

I have been busy cleaning up a couple of boxes of old chandies and scounces. I plan on painting them white and adding crystals to some and beads and pearls on others, as i create i will share with you.
Have a great weekend and thanks for your comments i love to read them.
