Thank you mum...

Hello everyone, I hope all is well in your life today. A little time ago about a year and a half i bought a large amout of wool for mum to knit me a blanket throw for my bed.Well she has finished it in time for winter this year. I truly love it and no it will be treasured for many many years to come. And if that wasnt enough she bought me this geogeous throw for my bed to wow i have been spoilt.

She scolloped the edges and added crochet flowers onto it.
I have been spending a great deal of time outdoors enjoying winter gardening in preparation for spring.
I have relocated my lilac in the hopes it does better.
But I do have some smaller projects underway for my ebay store, I must say it is alittle quiet on that front. I think i need to do some markets to help promote my garden umbrellas. I want to make more, I have some many ideas with them but i dont wont to end up with a mountain of them sitting here.
I sure it will all come together soon for me.
Until next time have a lovely week ahead
Cheers Tina

Pink cushion obsession..

Im in love with ruffles at the moment and just had to make these collection of cushions for my bed or lounge? I added some sparkly rhinestones...in actuall fact they are costum jewelry rings that broke off and i just couldnt part with them I new they would come in use..

I love the this shade of pink. I couldnt stand the colour once. i was never a girly girl, but i seem to be now. Its funny how our taste change over the years. I hope everyone is having a great week. Mine has been alittle hectic. Im sad to report i no longer have that cute little puppy. I gave her away to some lovely friends. It was a tough decision as she was just starting to it in with all the family except my youngest who was spending alot of time annoying her and i was getting very inpatient with his none listening to mummy. She inturn started chewing on him and leaving alot of broken skin. I no with time and abit of patients she will be a beautiful dog. Will try again in another year or two when juniors alittle older.
Take care, enjoy your week.

Bed crown with a twist.

Hello everyone, Its so good to be back posting. I went into someones blog a few weeks back and my computer was attacked by viruses. We havent been able to Fix it and in fact still havent. I bought another mouse this morning and for some reason the computer has  been ok. So im making the most of my good fortune and posting while i can. In someones its been a blessing as i have been able to get some projects done.

First of all i got an old lamp shade and cut one side so i could open it up into a half circle.
Then it was covered in rose fabric and trim and I completed it with tiny rhinestones and lace trim.

The net is held in place with safety pins. This allows for it to be removed and washed.

Im sure there is  a neater way to do this. Its  one problem i need to work on. there ribbon glued to the back at the top and this holds the crown up and on the wall when its tyed in a knot or bow and hung on hooks. I love the end results. Enjoy your weekend everyone. Ive got some blogs to catch up with.

IF I COULD GO BACK AND DO IT AGAIN..

Do you ever dream of going back and marrying your husband again?
If you could have that special day again what would you change if there is anything to change what would it be?
For me it would be my wedding dress or maybe my will to loose more weight to fit into it properly. I gained a few kg's from boy number 2 and i guess i wasnt quite ready to part with it yet at any rate I had bought my gown before I found out I was pregnant, It was plain open at the back simple shoestring straps and the bottom had a layer of satin that came across the top part of the skirt down on an angle over tulle. But  because bub number 2 was coming into our world we decided to postpone the wedding for another year.
This is so adorable...

Now for the cake I was happy with mine it was a mint green three teired mudcake with embellished fabric roses and dragonflys on each teir, topped with a gorgeous gazebo housing bride and groom wedding topper. (will show some pics at a later date when i can download some onto computer). The only thing wrong with the cake was the lady was supposed to make it square not round.

Our wedding tables were covered with pink glitter and rose petals with a box of pink and white faux roses as setter piece. Each favour was a handmade miniture green and pink rose fabric/plastic covered handbag with sugared almonds inside, which I made, Now let me tell you we had 110 guests thats alot of mini handbags to make, they took weeks to do. But how orginal and cute they turned out. The guest list I would certainly change. Much much smaller and then we could afford to pay for more detail to the wedding.

Love this black and white theme. Ours was pink, mint green and white, as the bridesmaid wore gowns made by my mum One was pink the other mint green and the four flower girls, two were wearing pink the other green.

LOVE this bouquet of roses. Again I made the flowers of faux roses and lilys that flowed down with beads hanging from them. Looking back over this i dont no how i found the time to do all this and the handmade invitations to with a new baby, but that i dont think will ever change, I just love to make things and no matter how much I try to take a break from crafting and creating I just cant.

So at the end of the day i guess the main thing is we would all go back and change something on that day that we werent happy with but what really matters is the day was about each other and not material things around us.....Still wouldnt it be nice to marry our man again, something about a wedding that makes the heart flutter.

Romantic Garden, where are you..

No this is not my garden, but a girl can dream.
I strolled around my garden the other day horrified with the 3 months of weed growth that lay ahead of me.
How i dream of my 4 wisterias looking like this.
It would be wonderful to snap your fingers and tada, instant garden.
I have several different camellias growing, cherry blossoms, magnolias, crabapples and an assortment of smaller bushier plants, but somehow it still doesnt look like my romantic garden. I have big ideas for our 2 and ahalf acreas, but im drowning in my 1 acre of garden.
I think the next 3 months are going to be spent planting a heap of cottage trees and shrubs and of cause the weeding.
Everyday i visualize winding paths leading to garden/potting sheds, a guest house/ studio, and some well needed garden  benches to sit awhile.
It takes so much time planning and effort but i no  oneday it will be worth it.
Garden rooms or conservatorys are a must. I love love love these...
Well easter is just around the corner, so im going to try my hand at making my own eggs this year, wish me luck. Have a wonderful evening...
